The Philippines is one of the most promising solar markets in the world, and the government is committed to boost renewable energy sources.
The country has set a target of generating 35% of its energy from renewables by 2030 and 50% by 2040, providing a stable and supportive policy environment for investors, based on the National Renewable Energy Program (NREP) 2020-2040.
There is a high demand for solar power in the Philippines, both in commercial and industrial, and in remote areas where access to traditional electricity is limited.
The Philippines will more than double its solar power output by 2030
The Philippines is home to the world's largest solar installation, completing in early 2026, with 3.5 GW of solar panels and 4 GWh of battery storage. And there's more on the way!
