Atty. Arthur C, Yap served as Secretary of Agriculture of the Philippines from 2004-2010 and Presidential Management Staff Director-General in 2005. He also served as President of the Philippine International Trading Corporation (PITC) from 2001- 2002 and Administrator of the National Food Authority from 2002- 2004. From 2010-2013, Yap was a Member of the Global Agenda Council of the World Economic Forum (WEF) based in Davos, Switzerland. He represented the 3rd Congressional District of Bohol Province in the House of Representatives from 2010-2019. He was Deputy Speaker for the Visayas in his last term as Congressman from 2018-2019. In 2019 he was elected as the 26th Governor of the Province of Bohol. He has been awarded the Order of Isabela by King Juan Carlos of Spain and the Order of Lakandula for his services to the Philippine Government by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. He studied Management and Economics at the Ateneo de Manila University and holds a Juris Doctor in Law from the same University. Presently, he is a member of the 20th Congress of the Philippines as the Representative of Murang Kuryente Partylist, a sectoral group for power consumers.
