Gian Karla Canales-Gutierrez is the Head of Industry Research & Advocacy for the Customer Engagement Group of First Gen Integrated Business Services.
She is also the Retail Sector representative for the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market Rules Change Committee (WESM RCC). 
With over 15 years of experience in the clean and renewable energy industry, Gian is passionate about the pursuit of collaborative pathways for a decarbonized and regenerative future. 

Gian earned her Master’s Degree in Political Economy from the University of Sydney as an Australia Awards scholar. She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University.
