SicilCER and Perugia Green Energy (PGE) are Italian Renewable Energy Communities promoting a shared approach to the energy transition. Based in Sicily and Perugia respectively, they bring together renewable energy producers and consumers to create economic, environmental and social benefits for their members and local communities.
Together, we are working on a broad portfolio of projects incorporating battery energy storage systems (BESS), with capacities of up to 20 MWh. A key focus is increasing the market value of renewable electricity by storing energy during low-price periods and exporting it when zonal electricity prices are more favourable.
At Solar & Storage, we look forward to sharing our practical experience in project development, technology selection and storage integration with other energy communities, businesses, developers and technology partners interested in exploring the potential of BESS.
