Muh. Asnoer Laagu serves as the Director of Technology and Innovation at the Pelita Khatulistiwa Nusantara Foundation. Since 2016, he has actively developed the #PatunganListrik project, targeting 3T regions (frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped areas) and disadvantaged villages; to date, the initiative has brought electrification to 12 remote primary healthcare (Puskesmas), three underdeveloped villages, and two disaster-affected areas. Additionally, Asnoer is an electrical engineering lecturer specializing in the Internet of Things (IoT), renewable energy, network optimization, and technology-based community empowerment. He teaches energy efficiency and IoT courses in the undergraduate electrical engineering program and researches IoT routing optimization methods inspired by the biological behavior of Physarum polycephalum. Beyond his academic, research, and collaborative work, he mentors community empowerment initiatives—such as the AgroTech Innovation program, which develops IoT-based agricultural systems and promotes the use of local food sources—and oversees the implementation of Early Warning Systems (EWS) in areas prone to disasters like floods and landslides. Asnoer also serves as an active reviewer for various accredited national journals and reputable international journals.
