Rebecca Cameron is a Principle Professional Officer in the Sustainable Energy Markets Department in the Energy Directorate at the City of Cape Town Municipality where she coordinated the development of the City’s Energy Strategy and works with a range of stakeholders to address critical energy issues relating to energy security and navigating the energy transition. This includes a specific focus on policy, strategy and research to overcome challenges in the electricity distribution industry in innovative ways. Before joining the City of Cape Town, Rebecca worked across Africa on issues of energy and climate with a range of local and national governments.
