Sue is the National Environment Manager and Sustainability Lead for Ramsay Health Care Australia. Sue leads the roll out of solar and energy efficient lighting across Ramsay’s 72 facilities as well as a range of other sustainability initiatives including replacing over 60 million single use plastics, reducing sterile wrap used in protecting sterile instruments by moving to rigid sterilisation containers and significantly reducing the use of volatile anaesthetic gases.

Ramsay Health Care is a global company and our Ramsay Cares strategy focuses on fostering healthier people, stronger communities and a thriving planet. In 2022 we committed to achieving Net Zero by 2040 with an interim target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 42% (scope 1 & 2) by 2030. The transition plan and key initiatives to enable us to achieve this is in development.
