Philip Chalko is a veteran electrical engineer and entrepreneur with nearly 20 years of experience driving innovation across the global energy landscape. Throughout a distinguished career that includes 12 years at Siemens in both Australia and Germany, Philip has established himself as a specialist in the sale and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects. His technical and commercial expertise spans the Oil & Gas, Mining, Renewables, and Utility sectors. Philip has a proven track record of navigating complex engineering challenges, having held key roles at industry leaders such as Jemena and Teck Global. A passionate advocate for the energy transition, Philip is a repeat founder in the clean tech space. He previously founded Chargebay, an EV charging solutions provider, and is currently the co-founder of Gridsoft, an energy management software company. Under his leadership, Gridsoft’s AI-driven platforms, PeakLogic and Luna AI, are helping businesses optimise energy performance, a mission that recently earned the company top honours at the Pulse Innovate Clean Energy Challenge. Philip combines deep domain knowledge with a founder’s agility, bridging the gap between traditional heavy industry and the digital future of the grid.
