Yasser Abdel-Hadi | Head of Solar Research Laboratory
National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG)

Professor of Solar Energy Physics and Head of the Solar Research Lab at the Department of Solar and Space Research of the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG).  He was born in Cairo (Egypt) in 1969.  He got his B.Sc. in Physics from Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt in 1990.  After there, he got his M.Sc. in Physics from the same Department in 1996 in the field of Solar Energy (Solar-Pumped Laser).  Then, he got his Ph.D. in Physics from the Institute of Optics, Physics Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science of the Technical University of Berlin (Germany) in 2005 through a DAAD scholarship.  Currently, he is working as a Full Professor and Head of the Solar Research Lab in the Solar and Space Research Department in the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG), Helwan, Cairo, Egypt.  He taught in the Physics Department, Faculty of Education, Helwan University and was a visiting Professor in the Technical University of Berlin (Germany), Technical University of Opole (Poland), American University in Cairo (AUC), New University of Lisbon (Portugal), Institute of Ion-Plasma and Laser Technologies of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences (SDTB at IIPLT of AS of Uzbekistan) in Taskent (Uzbekistan) and Institute of Materials Sciences of Scientific and Production Association “Physics-Sun” of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences (IM of SPA “Physics-Sun” of AS of Uzbekistan) in Parken (Uzbekistan).  He is an official editor and reviewer in many scientific journals.  He has more than 53 published articles in scientific journals and 4 Books.  His fields of interest are: Solar Energy Physics, Solar Radiation Technologies, and Cultural Astronomy.
