Stephen has seen firsthand how a change in the monetary system can change people's lives. Issuing money into an economy interest-free and inclusively can have a profound effect on how people value things and how they shift from competing to get what they need, to cooperating and sharing. Although he’s been active in the field of Community and Complementary Currencies since 1991 with experience in a wide variety of alternative currencies, from local community development projects in SE Asia, Africa and Latin America, to Digital Currencies in Asia, North America and Europe, he believes in engaging with people who are new to the ideas he’s been working on for so long. This is why he continues to stay close to the edge of innovation. His work has been presented in "The Future of Money" by Bernard Lietaer, "The End of Money and the Future of Civilization" by Thomas Greco, in "Healthy Money, Healthy Planet" by Diedre Kent, in “New Money for a New World”, and “Rethinking Money: How New Currencies turn Scarcity into Prosperity” by Bernard Lietaer and Jacqui Dunne.
