Joe oversees the strategic direction of the Singapore-based third-party logistics company providing last-mile delivery, channel management, international shipping and warehousing. The company counts many major companies such as Kao Singapore and Mondelez among their clients. Today, it is rapidly growing with over 60,000 sq ft of warehouse space and 10,000 crowdsourced drivers under its management.
Joe started his career in 1998 as a full-time military Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces, which saw him assume the appointments of Platoon commander, Staff Officer, Company Commander and Logistics Officer in the Armour Formation.
Subsequently, Joe started an eCommerce company, Apple Bazaar, in 2008 selling Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). Within a year, it sold to more than 10,000 customers and 220 destinations worldwide.
Recognising the importance of logistics efficiency in eCommerce businesses, and the lack of reliable providers in the market, Joe founded Courex in 2009 based on the portmanteau – COURier EXpress. Emphasising on technology as a solution from day one, Courex consistently sought out creative solutions to streamline the traditionally resource-intensive industry.
