Mzuzukile Soni, Founder, BrownSense

Mzuzukile Soni is an admitted attorney with over 19 years of post-admission experience across commercial law, ICT, intellectual property, labour and compliance. He is the founder of BrownSense, a market access and trust infrastructure platform for Black-owned SMEs in South Africa, which he built from a Facebook community group in 2016 into an ecosystem of 200,000+ members. He also runs The StartUp Legal, providing the legal architecture behind BrownSense's supplier credentialing and compliance systems. His career spans IBM, Nedbank, Sasol, Kyndryl and the South African Post Office. He contributes to global policy as a member of the B20 South Africa Digital Transformation Task Force under the G20, serves on the board of the eCommerce Forum South Africa, and is an incoming board member of the Bag Factory, a Johannesburg non-profit contemporary visual art organisation.
