Russell White has more than 30 years’ experience in the Driver Training and Road Safety Industry and is widely regarded as one of Australia’s leading road safety commentators and advocates. Russell founded Fatality Free Friday in 2007, a national community-based road safety initiative, which led to the establishment of the Australian Road Safety Foundation in 2010. The driving force behind his commitment to reducing road trauma is based around three key factors: advocacy, research and education. Governments at both State and Federal levels have sought Russell’s views on Road Safety issues, and he has established key industry contacts with road safety stakeholders in the non-government sector (NGO) in Australia and been involved with various studies and research programs. Russell’s vision, innovation and long term experience makes him a “one of kind” in the road safety industry. Russell's passion for driving and improving safety on our roads has resulted in the creation of multiple road saftey initatives including Fatality Free Friday, Rural Road Safety Month, and the Australian Road Safety Awards.
