Banu Çolak is a seasoned mining professional with over 20 years of experience in gold, lead, and zinc mining. She has led data management and NI43-101 reporting for a NASDAQ-listed gold mining company with Türkiye’s largest gold reserves, contributing to world-class discoveries such as the Çöpler Gold Mine, Çakmaktepe, and Ardich deposits. Banu has held key roles with Alacer/SSR, First Quantum, and Ölmez Mining, overseeing global and regional exploration database strategies, QAQC, and lab audits. As President of Women in Mining Türkiye (MSKD), she is recognized for driving data quality, efficiency, and innovation across the mining industry.
