Jean-Daniel Aussel is Chair of the GlobalPlatform Digital Wallets Task Force, which leverages GlobalPlatform technologies to enhance the security, privacy, and interoperability of digital wallets—covering not only identity use cases such as the European Union Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet, but also payment, central bank digital currency (CBDC), and other trust-based applications. GlobalPlatform is a non-profit industry association that develops and maintains technical specifications, certification programs, and standards enabling secure digital services and trusted devices worldwide. In addition to his work at GlobalPlatform, Jean-Daniel serves as Head of Standardization at Thales Cybersecurity & Digital Identity and is President of the Java Card Forum.
