Jacob Mcloughlin, Specialist Document Examiner, National Document Fraud Unit, Home Office

Jacob is a Specialist Document Examiner at the National Document Fraud Unit (NDFU), which is part of the United Kingdom Home Office. The NDFU is the Home Office's centre of expertise for secure travel and identity documents.
His regular duties include examining questioned documents for various public sector stakeholders, as well as delivering specialist training about the detection of fraudulent identity documents. Stakeholders include United Kingdom Immigration Enforcment, Border Force, and regional and national law enforcement organisations. 
Jacob is based in NDFU's Liverpool office, which has responsibility for stakeholders located in the northern part of England and Wales, as well as in Scotland and Northern Ireland. The support provided by NDFU ranges from providing expert advice to caseworkers through to giving expert witness testimony in court and providing recommendations for the development of new secure UK documents.
