Christian Guirnalda is the Senior Director of Network and Data API Innovation at Verizon. In this role, he is responsible for incubating and launching enterprise API products that cross industries (financial services, supply chain, media, advertising) and use cases (fraud prevention, operational efficiencies, autonomy and teleoperations). He also leads the Technology Venturing / Open Innovation function with deep working relationships with Venture Capital firms to source and execute partnerships with emerging startups. Prior to this role he ran Verizon’s 5G Labs and Innovation Centers across 10 global locations, was an investor with Verizon Ventures, leading early stage and accelerator deals, and worked as a Management Consultant within IBM’s Strategy and Change practice supporting the TMT sector. Christian earned a double major from Carnegie Mellon in Computing and Information Technology and Manufacturing Management as well as an MBA from the University of Michigan.
