The Resilient Sustainable Infrastructure Group (RSIG) at Imperial College London addresses urgent climate and societal challenges by developing novel materials technologies using laboratory experiments, numerical modelling and large-scale field testing. We have developed Kiacrete, which is a next-generation permeable pavement with proven high permeability, clogging resistance, strength and durability. Kiacrete can be deployed as both cast in-place and precast slabs. The first permanent Kiacrete pavement was built in the centre of Liverpool, UK in March 2025 for Liverpool City Council.
