Captain Suchart Klaikaew is an instructor and researcher at the Department of Environmental Science, Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy and the Department of Political Science, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University. His research focuses on dynamic modelling of energy management, natural resource use, industrial and infrastructure systems analysis, and environmental economics and policy in developing countries. He initiated and developed community-focused projects on sustainability development, eco-district, and urban climate action including renewable energy transition centre and environmental education project with the European Institute of Technology (EIC) Climate-KIC in many cities around Europe such as Wroclaw, Poland, Almada, Portugal, and Turin and Bologna, Italy.
He worked as an energy engineer at Artveoli Inc., a Silicon Valley-based biotech start-up which produces air purifier and carbon dioxide convertor. Suchart was chosen to be the youngest panellist for the Future of Engineering Education session at Sensors Expo & Conference 2018. Currently, he is developing projects for the sustainable development learning centre in Nakhon Nayok and Bangkok, Thailand to educate students and community leaders on climate actions.
