As the UK power system becomes increasingly reliant on renewable generation, long-duration energy storage (LDES) will have a growing role to play in balancing supply and demand. But where does the commercial opportunity lie?
This panel will explore how LDES can move beyond its role in system security to unlock new revenue streams and investment opportunities. Panellists will discuss emerging business models, the impact of the UK’s cap and floor mechanism, routes to market and the applications where long-duration technologies can deliver the greatest value.
