Emma Ford joined Eclipse Power in January 2026 as Chief Executive Officer, bringing over 20 years of experience across the UK and European energy infrastructure sector. She is a highly experienced leader who has delivered major operational, cultural and commercial transformations within complex environments.
In previous roles, Emma served as Vice President and Head of Generation at Ørsted, overseeing a portfolio of offshore wind assets. She also held senior leadership positions at National Grid and E.ON, directing large-scale electricity and gas infrastructure programmes, interconnectors and renewable energy projects. Throughout her career, she has delivered measurable impact—from restoring critical assets ahead of schedule to driving organisational change and setting new standards for wellbeing and performance across the sector.
A committed advocate for diversity and inclusion, Emma is also a Director of the Women’s Utilities Network (WUN).
As CEO of Eclipse Power, Emma shapes the company’s strategic direction, ensuring agility and simplicity in guiding customers through the electricity connection process.
