Daniel Corcoran is Development Director at Rivan, leading land and planning consenting for large-scale solar across the UK, Spain, and Portugal. Rivan pairs utility-scale solar with on-site conversion to carbon-neutral synthetic natural gas - an off-grid model that removes grid connection as a constraint on deployment. Before Rivan, Daniel spent four years developing subsidy-free solar at RWE, and he chairs Solar Energy UK's Planning and Land Use Steering Group, where they tackle the development bottlenecks slowing the sector down and help shape planning policy that actually works.
