Dr Terence McAdams is Chief Education Officer for the EDUC8 group, which includes Epsom College Malaysia and Epsom College Tokyo. He is an international specialist in AI-enhanced learning, curriculum innovation, and whole-school improvement. He has extensive experience in strategic planning for new schools and in supporting leadership teams to design forward-looking, high-impact learning environments. He serves as the IB Diploma Programme Computer Science Chief Examiner and works across the IB as an exam writer, curriculum developer, consultant, and external assessor. This breadth of work gives him a grounded understanding of how assessment design, programme structure, and classroom practice must connect in order to raise standards. His teaching and research are situated at the intersection of AI, entrepreneurship, and design thinking. His focus is on helping students think critically with technology and on giving teachers practical frameworks that work in classrooms. He has designed and led programmes that focus on the transformative competencies required for effective use of AI. He speaks regularly at international conferences on technology, curriculum design, and meaningful AI integration in schools, as well as the factors that limit its impact.
