Adjunct Associate Professor Maria Mc Namara is a strategic and operational research leader focused on accelerating the translation of scientific evidence into clinical practice. Maria works closely with partners with lived experience to progress innovative clinical trials that improve access to novel therapies and deliver better health outcomes, particularly for people with cerebral palsy. Maria manages the NHMRC-funded DRIVE-CP Centre of Research Excellence, based at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Institute, Sydney Medical School, Faculty of Medicine and Health, at The University of Sydney, She is also a founding member of the Cerebral Palsy Global Clinical Trials Network, and a Chief Investigator on the TRANSMIT study - Multifaceted knowledge TRANSlation iMproving function in CP.
