John Bradshaw is the Community Engagement Professional for Independent Living Assessment (iLA) in Victoria and Tasmania, where he brings a people‑first approach to supporting healthy ageing and independent living. iLA is a national for‑purpose organisation dedicated to empowering individuals and communities to live and age well, delivering programs such as LiveUp, funded by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. John works with councils, health and community organisations, peak bodies, and consumers to strengthen healthy ageing, community connection and increase awareness of simple, low‑cost assistive products that help people stay independent and well. His career has taken him from primary classrooms in England and Australia to training triple zero (000) emergency call‑takers across Australia and the United States, and later into public health education focused on gambling harm minimisation and gender equity.
