Dr Walid Jammal is a principal General Practitioner in Western Sydney. He has a strong commitment to quality, safety and patient centred health care. He has been a member of various advisory committees for NSW health and the Commonwealth. He is Co-Chair of the GP Advisory Group for the Agency of Clinical Innovation (NSW Health), was Co-Chair of the Commonwealth’s Primary Care Reform Steering Group that informed Australia’s 10 Year Primary Care Plan, is a Member of the Medicare Services Advisory Committee, Board member of the Western Sydney Local Health District, and Board Member of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare. He was also a member of the Commonwealth’s Strengthening Medicare Taskforce. He has a keen interest in health economics and integrated models of care including the Patient Centred Medical Home frameworks. Walid is also Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney.
