Eassa Abdullah is the Director of CPG Laboratories at the College of Petroleum Engineering & Geosciences, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM). In this role, he oversees the strategic development and operational excellence of the college’s laboratory facilities, driving innovation, efficiency, and alignment with KFUPM’s broader vision for research and sustainability.
Alongside his leadership role, Eassa serves as an Instructor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering, where he teaches and mentors students in reservoir rock and fluid properties. His research focuses on reservoir characterization, petrophysics, and the integration of advanced analytical and data-driven techniques to improve reservoir performance and sustainability in hydrocarbon recovery.
Eassa has authored and co-authored several research publications in leading journals, collectively accumulating nearly 200 citations. His work bridges experimental, modeling, and digital approaches to better understand reservoir behavior and optimize resource utilization.
He holds a PhD in Reservoir Characterization from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals and has received multiple distinctions, including the KFUPM Excellence Award and the SPE Presidential Award Champion.
