The Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC) is the official governmental body responsible for providing accreditation to conformity assessment bodies and healthcare sector entities. It was established by virtue of Law No. (27) of 2015, issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with the aim of organizing and developing the quality and accreditation infrastructure in accordance with the highest international standards.

The Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC) accredits both governmental and private entities within the UAE and abroad, including but not limited to the following:

• Testing laboratories, calibration laboratories, and medical laboratories.
• Inspection bodies.
• Certification bodies for management systems, products, and personnel.
• Halal product conformity assessment bodies.
• Proficiency testing providers.
• Reference material producers.
• Validation and verification bodies

EIAC also provides accreditation services in the healthcare sector’s entities including:

• Hospitals and clinics.
• Day surgery centers.
• Fertility and Infertility Treatment Centers.
• Home healthcare services.
• Medical Tourism Services.
• Telehealth services.
