Violet Lim | Chief Executive Officer and Co Founder
Lunch Actually Group

Violet Lim, Chief Executive Officer and Co Founder, Lunch Actually Group

Violet Lim is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lunch Actually Paktor Group, Asia’s leading dating and matchmaking company with presence in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Taiwan. With a keen understanding of how busy professionals often deprioritize their personal lives due to demanding careers, Violet launched Lunch Actually in 2004 with her husband Jamie Lee to help singles find love in a structured, time-efficient, and data-informed way. Under her leadership, Lunch Actually has facilitated over 160,000 dates and contributed to more than 4,500 successful and married couples — leveraging a business model that blends technology, data, and human insight. She is also the first Asian certified by the Matchmaking Institute in New York and has become a trusted expert in the relationship industry, frequently featured on CNN, BBC, CNBC Asia, Bloomberg, and Forbes. Violet is a firm believer in systems thinking, customer-centric innovation, and building scalable business solutions — values that resonate deeply with entrepreneurs and business professionals across sectors. Beyond her work in matchmaking, Violet is also an award-winning entrepreneur, having received the Women Entrepreneur Award in 2017, and is a former Chapter President of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Singapore. She holds a Master’s degree in Personnel Management from the London School of Economics and a Law degree from the University of Manchester. As a frequent speaker at international business and leadership conferences such as TEDx, PR Asia, and the Global Dating Insights Summit (New York), Violet shares insights on entrepreneurship, leadership, and scaling human-centric businesses. Her mission — to create 1 million happy marriages — is driven by both passion and purpose, making her a standout example of aligning business with impact. Outside of work, she is a devoted mother of two and a strong advocate for mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs.
