Huiyi Zhu is the Head of U.S. Project Management and Global Line Manager for Viral Vector Business at ProBio Inc., bringing over 13 years of extensive experience in the development and GMP manufacturing of advanced therapy medicinal products, including plasmids and viral vectors. He has led end-to-end technical operations across multiple CGT platforms, encompassing upstream and downstream processing, fill-finish, packaging design, and global technology transfer. His track record includes successful IND and BLA submissions across numerous biologics and CGT commercial programs, and he played a direct role in the commercialization of Zolgensma during his tenure at AveXis/Novartis Gene Therapy. At ProBio, he leads the U.S. project management organization, supporting global CGT CDMO operations by driving technical strategy, establishing integrated platforms, and designing CMC solutions to accelerate clients’ path to clinical and commercial success.
