Pacto Medical is developing compact prefilled syringe plunger rods designed to make safe, accurate vaccine and medication delivery more accessible, affordable, and sustainable. Current prefilled syringes offer major clinical advantages over vials and ampoules, including sterility, dosing accuracy, ease of use, and reduced handling risk, but their extended plunger rods make them bulky and costly to package, sterilize, ship, store, and deploy.

Pacto’s Slimshot® technology reimagines the prefilled syringe form factor by reducing packaging volume by up to 40% while only changing the plunger rod and preserving the familiar clinical workflow of a standard prefilled syringe. The platform is designed for applications including vaccines, emergency medications, flushes, and other high-volume or cold-chain products where space, cost, sustainability, and reliability matter.

Founded with experience in medical logistics, emergency response, public health, and human-centered design, Pacto Medical works with clinicians, supply chain experts, pharmaceutical partners, and manufacturers to address practical barriers in vaccine and medication access. By reducing supply chain burdens and supporting fast, accurate administration, Pacto aims to help expand the use of prefilled syringes in routine care, emergency response, global health, and vaccine delivery.
