Urmila Baskaran is Regional Director for ASEAN at BT International, where she leads the company’s business across Southeast Asia. She is responsible for driving regional growth, strengthening strategic customer relationships, and supporting enterprises as they navigate complex digital transformation journeys across an increasingly interconnected and fast-evolving landscape.

Urmila joined BT in 2016 through the BT Graduate Programme and has since held a series of progressively senior leadership roles across pre-sales, global pre-sales leadership, and business development. Over the course of nearly a decade with the company, she has built deep expertise in translating emerging technologies into commercially viable, customer-centric solutions that deliver long-term business value.

With more than 10 years of experience serving multinational clients across diverse industries, Urmila combines strong commercial acumen with technical insight. She is known for simplifying complex challenges and shaping practical, scalable technology roadmaps that align with business priorities.

Beyond her commercial leadership role, Urmila is an active advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion. She serves as Director of Member Engagement at the Young Women’s Leadership Connection (YWLC) in Singapore and is a member of the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore’s Women in Business Committee, supporting initiatives that empower the next generation of women leaders.
