Onno Bos is Director of Corporate Fundraising at the Internet Society Foundation, where he leads corporate fundraising initiatives, develops strategic partnerships, and drives the growth of the Foundation's organisational membership and employee giving programmes. He works closely with corporate partners worldwide to support the Foundation's mission of expanding and strengthening the Internet.
He has more than 30 years of experience across the telecommunications and Internet industry, with expertise spanning international business development, carrier services, peering, Internet infrastructure, strategic partnerships, and global sales leadership.
Before joining the Internet Society Foundation in 2025, Onno spent over 12 years at AMS-IX, one of the world's largest Internet exchanges. He served as International Partnership Director, leading global partnerships to establish and expand Internet exchanges in markets including Bangkok, Manila, Mumbai, Bahrain, and Singapore. Previously, as Sales Director, he played a key role in growing AMS-IX's customer base, expanding its international footprint, and strengthening its position within the global peering ecosystem.
Earlier in his career, Onno held senior commercial and business development roles at Liaison Technologies, P-Group, TeliaSonera (now Arelion), QoS Networks, GTS Telecom, and BT. Throughout these roles, he specialised in international carrier relationships, mobile interconnects, IP services, and new business development across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.
Alongside his corporate career, Onno is Co-Founder of Badge2Match, a networking technology platform that uses RFID-enabled event badges to facilitate business networking. The company received the Dutch ICT Innovation Award and was recognised among the Netherlands' leading SME innovators.
Onno holds a Master's degree in Law from Leiden University. His career combines commercial leadership with deep expertise in Internet infrastructure, connectivity partnerships, and international telecommunications.
