George Aprane | Managing Director, Asia

George Aprane is the Managing Director, Asia at Deutsche Telekom, based in Singapore, where he leads the company’s business and strategic engagement across the region.

With more than 20 years of experience across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, George has held senior leadership roles spanning cloud services, enterprise technology, telecom partnerships, and go-to-market strategy. Prior to joining Deutsche Telekom, he spent over seven years at Genesys, where he led the company’s partner organization across APAC and played a key role in expanding the regional partner ecosystem during the transition toward SaaS and subscription-based business models.

Earlier in his career, George held leadership positions at Cisco, where he spent 12 years leading commercial and telecom-focused initiatives across APJ, including cloud collaboration, channel strategy, and global system integrator partnerships. He also held regional sales and alliance roles at Portal Software (now Oracle) and Boldworks, focusing on telecom software, billing, and customer care solutions.

George is recognized for building strategic partnerships across telcos, GSIs, ISVs, and cloud ecosystems, with a strong focus on business growth, partner-led transformation, and enterprise technology adoption.

He holds a Master’s degree in Management of Technology from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications.
