Byron Clatterbuck is the President of Dragonwood Consulting Limited and a seasoned telecom executive with over 25 years of experience in international markets across Asia and Africa. He is best known for his tenure as CEO of SEACOM, where he led the expansion of one of Africa’s pioneering subsea and terrestrial fiber networks and helped bridge the continent’s digital divide.

Previously, Byron held senior global leadership roles at Tata Communications, including President and SVP overseeing global subsea strategy, carrier services, and network investments. He has also worked with REACH, Level 3 Communications, and BT in leadership positions focused on infrastructure, business development, and global partnerships.

Fluent in Mandarin and based in Hong Kong, Byron brings deep commercial, operational, and strategic expertise in subsea systems, wholesale connectivity, and carrier partnerships. He holds an MBA from the University of Hong Kong.
