Sustainability Initiatives @ SNW 2025

Recycle and Reuse

Recycling bins will be available throughout the venue to collect plastics, aluminium cans and paper. After the event, instead of discarding lanyards, we encourage recycling them at designated lanyard collection points.

Supporting BYOB - Bring Your Own Bottle

To minimise single-use plastic, water dispensers will be placed around the conference area. We encourage attendees to bring reusable bottles rather than relying on single-use bottled water.

Going Digital

We are transitioning towards a near-paperless event by using digital or projection backdrops instead of customized printed ones that end up in the landfills. The event agenda will be accessible through the event app at the entrance, reducing paper waste and supporting the shift to a digital future.

Carpet-Free

Our show features no carpet laid in the aisles, eliminating waste from non-recyclable materials. Laying 4,560 sqm of carpet – an area equivalent to 0.7 football fields and weighing as much as 1.9 small cars – for just 2 days, only to send it to landfills, has significant environmental implications.

Modular Builds

Submarine Networks World uses fully modular booth systems, built using reusable panels and poles. We do not construct raw space structures; instead, we work with our contractor’s modular templates, which significantly reduces material waste and promotes sustainability across events.

Green Venue and Partners

Our event is held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, a carbon-neutral, triple platinum certified venue, and one of Asia’s leading sustainable locations. We partner with Kingsmen Exhibits Pte Ltd, ISO 20121 certified for Sustainable Event Management.

Travel Green

We encourage attendees to take public transport or choose eco-friendly ride options, such as shared rides or low-emission vehicles, when booking private transport. Every sustainable choice helps reduce the event’s environmental footprint.

Reducing Event Carbon Footprint with TRACE by isla.

At the conclusion of each Submarine Networks World event, we evaluate our carbon emissions using TRACE by isla to monitor and reduce our carbon footprint.
