Mark Veeder, Vice President, Online Merchandising, The Home Depot

Mark Veeder is the vice president of online merchandising.  He is responsible for driving product authority and Home Depot’s interconnected retail strategy.  He works closely with core merchandising, Home Depot.com operations and development, supply chain, and our suppliers.  He is focused on leveraging digital content and customer insights to improve product authority and the customer shopping experience.  Other areas of key focus are leveraging assortment, pricing and cost productivity to increase sales, margin and return on investment.
Previously, Mark was the vice president of inventory planning and replenishment for The Home Depot. His team was responsible for managing the forecast and replenishment systems and working with the broader supply chain to drive sales through strong in-stock positions while also driving inventory and cost productivity.  His team worked closely with the field, merchandising, and our suppliers.
Mark joined the Company in 2001 as assistant corporate controller. He has held roles of increasing responsibility including senior director of finance supporting store operations, merchandising, supply chain and global sourcing, vice president of finance and vice president of merchandising operations and systems. 
Prior to joining the Company, Mark was assistant corporate controller for SI Corporation. He also spent seven years with KPMG.
Mark has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
