Klaus Funken (55) studied mechanical engineering trained at RWTH Aachen University (Germany), specializing in railway vehicles. He began his professional career in 1996 as a project engineer in brake technology at Faiveley Transport. Since 2000, he has held various leadership positions in the aluminium extrusion industry, contributing to numerous key projects focused on aluminium extrusions and carbody components for the European railway market. In 2024, he assumed the position of Rail Business Development Manager at Exlabesa Industry, a global leader in the manufacture of aluminium profiles for a wide range of industrial applications.
