Swedish Rail operates more than 1400 departures every day, and the majority of these are dynamically priced. The Swedish market is deregulated since 2010 and competition from new entrants have increased year by year. Maria’s primary responsibility is to drive revenue generation activities, grow market share, as well as to modernize and improve the pricing structure and revenue optimization process. Since 2014 SJ has a clear growth strategy where communication, campaigns and directed price reductions are the tools used. The strategy have been very successful and SJ has improved the market share on all major lines.
Prior to joining Swedish Rail in 2011 Maria held a number of different leading positions within Business Development at Transdev (former Veolia).
Maria holds a Master degree from Mälardalen University, concentrating on studies in International Marketing and Economics.
