Dr Varma is Founding Managing Partner of Quadria Capital, a US$300 m Asian healthcare PE fund. He also heads the Investment Committee of India Build-Out Fund focused on healthcare, education and ancillary services in India.

Dr Varma has extensive M&A, strategic and operational leadership and board level experience in healthcare organizations across USA, Asia and Australia. He is a renowned Critical Care Physician, having practiced in the domain for over 20 years, including a decade in the USA. He has served in various roles including managing and operating P&L’s, procurement of medical supplies, strategy and quality of healthcare organizations, and recruitment of key physicians across Asia. He is currently on the editorial board and a member of various healthcare and management groups and societies. He also continues to practice as a critical care physician on a part-time basis through which he remains connected to clinical medicine, patients, and physicians.
