Drs. Ruud Coolen van Brakel is director of the Dutch Institute for rational Use of Medicine. Two years ago, this institute took over the activities of the Initiative Group Biosimilars Netherlands and pursues an active policy to keep the topic of biosimilars high on the agenda of policymakers, healthcare professionals, and the general public. Coolen van Brakel studied sociology and education sciences and was, among other things, chairman of the Dutch Association for Prevention and Health Promotion.
