Jay Zhao, Ph.D oversees Kali’s CMC strategy and GMP manufacturing, and drives technology platform innovation. Dr. Zhao brings nearly 20 years of experience across antibodies, immunotoxins, vaccines, and conjugation technologies.  Before co-founding Kali, Dr. Zhao served as Vice President of Protein Sciences and CMC Development at Molecular Templates, where he led development for MT-6402 and other clinical-stage immuno-oncology assets. Earlier in his career at Pfizer, he played a key role in the development and tech transfer for FDA-approved vaccines - Prevnar and Abrysvo. Dr. Zhao earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Johns Hopkins University. He is an inventor on multiple patents and author of more than twenty scientific publications.
