Gerco Kanbier is CEO of GenLumina, a Leiden-based biotech company developing a novel light-activated payload platform for targeted cancer therapies. GenLumina’s ~2 nm drug payload is designed to conjugate with a wide range of peptides and antibodies and to be activated locally using light, with the aim of increasing treatment precision while limiting off-target toxicity.
Gerco is an entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience building and developing technology-driven companies. At GenLumina, he focuses on establishing option-based preclinical collaborations for peptide- and antibody-drug conjugates, securing financing, and developing strategic partnerships and joint ventures around ADC and PDC programs.
