Dr. Erwan Bourlès is an expert in lyophilization technologies with extensive experience in biologics and vaccine development. He earned his PhD in Food Process Engineering from the University of Angers and has built a prolific career dedicated to the stabilization, scale-up, and freeze-drying of complex pharmaceuticals. He has held key scientific and R&D roles at major pharmaceutical organizations, including GSK. Currently serving as Head of Lyophilization Technologies at Lonza in the Basel region, he continues to drive innovation and operational excellence in biologic drug development.
