Jerralyn is the Assistant to the Rector for Information and Communications Technology or the Chief ICT Officer at the University of Santo Tomas. She leads the university's ICT governing processes and IT governance framework. She is an academician with a rich and diverse academic and professional background. She served as the former Faculty Secretary at the University of Santo Tomas from 2013 to 2016 and later as the Director of the Institute of Information and Computing Sciences from 2016 to 2021. Her significant contributions and leadership were instrumental in elevating the institute to the status of a college in 2021, and she became the inaugural Dean of the UST College of Information and Computing Sciences. The College offers a BS in Computer Science, a BS in Information Technology, and a BS in Information Systems. She spearheaded creating the first collaborative degree program at the University of Santo Tomas, a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Analytics offered by the UST College of Science and the UST College of Information and Computing Sciences in 2022. During her term as Dean, she elevated the accreditation of the college to PAASCU Level 2. Her career trajectory shifted from vast years in the industry, where she worked in software development and technical roles, to a career in academia driven by her passion for teaching. Her coaching achievements include leading the National CISCO Competition Champion back in 2008. Jerralyn specializes in networks and security and is certified as a Data Protection Officer. She has been a Certified Cisco Instructor for more than fifteen years. Furthermore, she has actively contributed to the academic community by serving as the Secretary and later as the President of the Council of Deans in Information Technology Education - National Capital Region, Inc. (CODITE-NCR) from 2019 to 2022.
