Dr. Adam’s experience spans more than 40 years across academia, government, and industry. In academia, as a Distinguished Professor of Computer and Information Systems, Professor of Medicine, my leadership roles included serving as Vice-Chancellor for Research & Collaboration and as the founding director of the Rutgers Institute of Data Science, Learning, and Applications. My governmental tenure includes service as a Senior Program Manager and Branch Chief within the Science & Technology Directorate at the Department of Homeland Security. Within the private sector, I am the co-founder and CEO of an AI-driven startup focused on transformative applications in medicine and healthcare. Dr. Adam’s research programs have secured over $23 million in funding from premier federal and private entities, including the NIH, DHS, DoD, NSF, NASA, IBM, and SAP. Reflecting the global impact of this work, the 2020 Stanford University report recognized him as one of the top 2% of scholars worldwide in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing by citation impact.
