Dr. Torsten Grünewald boasts a distinguished scientific background, having earned his PhD at the Faculty of Physical Chemistry in Mainz. After two years in the telecommunications industry with LHS Systems, where he worked on billing solutions for mobile telecommunication, he joined Boehringer Ingelheim in 1999, taking on various roles in IT. From 2005 to 2008, Dr. Grünewald led the Competence Center for Business Process Management and was honored with the Business Process Excellence Award for Enterprise BPM by IDS Scheer in 2008. Between 2009 and 2011, From 2011 to 2014, Dr. Grünewald served as Lead Business Architect in the Shared Service Center "Global Business Service" at Boehringer Ingelheim, where he was the Global Process Owner for Master Data Management, Process Management, and Information Architecture. He then returned to IT from 2014 to 2021, leading the Application Integration team and serving as Chief Architect for Enterprise Data Services. Since 2022, Dr. Grünewald has been the Data Governance Manager within Clinical Development & Operations. His main focus is establishing Data Governance and Master Data Management for the new clinical system landscape, "One Medicine Platform," and integrating it with the cloud-based corporate-wide data ecosystem, "One Medicine Analytics". Now he is also transforming the medicine landscape by applying generative AI
