Susanne is an accomplished scientist and strategic leader with over 15 years of experience in lab automation, digitalization, and advanced technological solutions for research and development. As the Team Lead for Enabling Technologies at Roche, based in Basel, Switzerland, Susanne focuses on driving innovation in lab automation and digitalization, enabling cutting-edge solutions and fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. During Susanne's tenure at Roche, she has held strategic roles, including serving as the Strategic Area Lead for Lab Automation/Digitalization and as Matrix Leader for Lab Automation. Her expertise has been pivotal in defining strategies, leading implementations of automation systems, optimizing experimental workflows, and mentoring the next generation of professionals in the field. Previously, Susanne served as a International Project Leader (EMEA) at Hamilton Bonaduz AG, where she managed the development of complex integrated liquid handling and software solutions for the EMEA market. Prior to this, she led the Lab Automation Unit at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, offering specialized support for high-content screening, genome engineering, and advanced data-handling technologies. Susanne holds a Master's degree in Molecular Bioengineering from Technische Universität Dresden and is currently pursuing a MBA at the University of Warwick, with a focus on digital transformation and strategy. Her extensive background in research, project management, and automation technologies makes her an innovative force in advancing laboratory and digital systems for life sciences.
