Katie Baca-Motes is the Chief Strategy Officer at CareEvolution, a healthcare technology company at the forefront of digital health innovation.  She is renowned for her global collaborations in research, demonstrating how digital health innovations can revolutionize healthcare through enhanced prevention, quicker diagnoses, and better treatments. Her work promotes the use of a digital, decentralized clinical trial model as a blueprint for transforming healthcare delivery. With 14 years of experience leading large-scale research programs, Katie's expertise spans digital health, strategic partnerships, clinical trial enrollment, and more. She is committed to bridging communities to solve health challenges, enhance representation in research, and minimize health disparities. As Co-Investigator and Director of The Participant Center for the All of Us Research Program from 2016 to 2021, she led the development of a national infrastructure allowing universal program enrollment and spearheaded digital and community engagement innovations for participant retention. Katie has contributed to groundbreaking studies, including those using patient-mediated EHR capture via SMART on FHIR. In 2020, she co-founded the Scripps Digital Trials Center and initiated DETECT, a COVID-19 research platform that leverages wearable data for early disease detection and insights into Long COVID and vaccine responses. In 2021, she established the PowerMom Consortium to advance maternal health research and address health disparities.
