Meaningfy: the semantic layer that makes FAIR and AI actually work

Most FAIR programmes stall at the I. Data is findable and accessible, yet a compound, an assay or a patient cohort still means slightly different things in each system. Every integration quietly re-negotiates that meaning, and AI built on top inherits the disagreement.

Meaningfy fixes that. We are a Luxembourg-based semantic technology firm. We help organisations decide what their core data means, encode it once, and connect the systems they already own to it. Findable and accessible is the platform's job; interoperable and reusable is ours.

What we do

  • Ontologies and taxonomies: shared vocabularies aligned to public standards, extended where the standards run out.
  • Knowledge graphs: connecting entities across research, clinical and manufacturing data so questions can be asked across silos.
  • Data mapping and interoperability: bringing existing systems into the shared model without rebuilding them. Our open-source Mapping Workbench supports this at scale.
  • Semantic grounding for AI: explicit meaning behind retrieval and reasoning, so outputs are traceable and defensible.

Where we have done it EU institutions, including the eProcurement Ontology for the Publications Office, and data-heavy regulated organisations across Europe.
